Transfer complete – Norwich to Juvents
Former Poultec Apprentice, Joshua Tilley a Football Development Coordinator from Norwich City Football Club was offered the amazing opportunity to coach football in Kuwait for the Juvents Academy which he has accepted and starts in September.
Joshua’s role within Norwich City Football Club is a management role, managing the football coaching team as well as having operational/project responsibilities and being a coach himself. ‘It was Norwich City Football Club that put me forward to complete the ILM Level 3 Diploma for Manager Apprenticeship with Poultec Training.’ Says Joshua. Joshua put lots of time and effort into this Apprenticeship over the past year and it certainly paid off as he achieved a distinction! Not only was Joshua completing his Apprenticeship he was also accepted into the UEFA B course and was completing this course at the same time. The UEFA B course helps you develop your football players by designing practices that meet their technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social needs. He worked very hard all season with his Harlow Town U18 EJA side and passed with flying colours gaining his UEFA B coaching license. ‘All this training has most defiantly boosted my confidence in leading people and managing groups. I also feel a lot more confident within myself and how to manage myself to get the best out of my ability. I am very grateful to Anne and Nicola for their time and help over the last year.’ States Joshua.
Juventus Academy Kuwait is the official football programme from Juventus F.C which launched in Kuwait in 2017. Their team is their greatest asset, they look for motivated, determined and passionate staff members that dedicate themselves to achieving great results. Joshua was offered the job to go out to Kuwait this September and coach boys and girls of all ages and abilities, developing their football through the Juventus methodology. The Juventus training method is one of the best and is used in over 80 counties worldwide.
Joshua received lots of good and exciting news all within 18 days of each other. His Apprenticeship and UEFA B course results and the big Juventus Academy job offer in Kuwait. ‘I feel with these two achievements plus my experience and background in coaching from a young age, I was seen as the right fit for this exhilarating position.’ This is a big opportunity and Joshua soon accepted this offer and says ‘I am buzzing with the success I have achieved over the last year and I can’t wait to start my new challenge abroad.’
Anne, Joshua’s tutor adds ‘Josh has been a fantastic learner. Throughout the qualification he has worked hard and produced some great work. Josh has put a lot of effort into his showcase portfolio and presentation. He definitely deserved the distinction result.
